This is a decision you and your surgeon will make together. It is important to understand that there is not a wide range of implant sizes and profiles that will look natural in each individual patient. Given your height, weight & preoperative breast profile, there really is a limited range of implants sizes and profiles that will produce a full - but natural - breast appearance. So it is important to establish from the beginning whether or not you and the surgeon that you have selected have the same aesthetic vision. One of the best ways to do this is by reviewing the surgeon's 'before & after' photos.
A good breast augmentation surgeon goes into the O.R. with a good idea of what implant size and profile will work best for a patient, but makes the final decision using implant sizers
By looking at many, many B&A images, you should find patients with a starting point like yours and a result that is pleasing to you.
Many times the volume of the implant is used as the main conversation when referring to the appropriate or ideal size. Instead, the better conversation is to understand with the help of your surgeon the ideal size for you based on measurements of your natural breast, the skin tightness, laxity, the expectation of size, the overall look etc. Frequently, the Shape, Size, the Symmetry and the Scar all have to be discussed in detail and this will vary from person to person. This can only be done to some extent virtually, but the best with an in person consultation and detailed discussion.
A lot of this is science, but also art and judgement. As Dr.Law stated above, once a good detailed consultation is done, the surgeon will have a very good idea of what type, size implant to use.
When you have a consultation, your surgeon will take measurements to determine implant sizes that fit, skin laxity and discuss the desired look you want to achieve (more natural, more implanted). He/she will recommend implants that meet your criteria while ensuring it is an appropriate choice. It helps to take some photos with you that show your surgeon what you mean when you describe bigger and fuller.

Hello! I know you want to get to a certain cup size and you will probably be able to get there since you were that size when pregnant. When you have a consultation with your plastic surgeon, be sure to be as candid as you can about what size you desire!! I would recommend using the gel implants since you want a larger size-- these implants are softer, and feel like a natural breast.
Hello! You sound like a great candidate for a breast augmentation - and size of the implant is one of the choices you will need to make. The ideal size for you is based on your anatomy and the width of breasts as well as your goals for volume and projection. When you meet with a board certified plastic surgeon be sure to discuss your goals. I find that using a 3D imaging system, such as the Canfield Vectra, in my office often helps narrow down choices. Looking at before and after photos helps too.
Good luck with your journey!
Hello and thank you for your excellent question. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!
