Tummy Tuck

Gastric Sleeve Surgery 2012

Sara69 Westminster, MD

I had GSS in 2012. After I had my hernia surgery I had a huge amount of skin hanging removed along with my groin area skin removed. (or so I thought). After my surgery I woke up and saw how hideous I was left. He cut straight across and no groin area, My question is, is there a surgery that will take care of both?

I’m not exactly sure what you are describing. However, I have treated many many gastric bypass patients in the past. I’ve performed a lot of body lifts also treating the Mons pubis area. It is best to be seen in person to be properly evaluated. Best of luck.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question and I am sorry that your surgical results were not what you anticipated. Most likely a revision Tummy tuck and monsplasty will yield you the best results. See an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation to discuss your options.

Correction is likely possible, but a review of the operative note and an examination of you by a Board Certified plastic surgeon would offer the best opinions available to you. Make sure you consult with an experienced surgeon. Best of luck to you.

Dear Sara,

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!
