The fee for breast reduction varies from surgeon to surgeon and region to region. If there is insurance coverage then you would only be responsible for any deductible and co-payment. If no insurance, then the average surgical fee would be about $6500-7000.

Cost will vary widely by region. In the Washington DC area, surgical fee is around $6000 and anesthesia and facility fee may be another $4000. This would be reduced hospital fees when patients are paying out of pocket.

With regard to insurance, only your insurance company can tell you what your cost would be. It’s worth it, and a life changing surgery.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Because insurance company plans vary tremendously you would need to reach out to yours directly to get an idea of cost in and out of network. As for a self-pay rate, you are looking at 6-11K with all costs included.
