I am 64 years am I too old for breast reduction. My back hurts, my shoulders have indentations from bra straps, my neck hurts, I am 5'3" and wear a 38 to 40 DD bra and weigh 140 lbs. Also insurance is the only way I could pay for it.

There is no specific age limit for breast reduction. If you are healthy then you can have it done.
You are not too old for a breast reduction! It is a life changing procedure and you will need an ok from your medical doctor as well. Find an ASPS Surgeon you like and get a consultation so you can find out about risks, benefits, cost and how to prepare. They can also explore your insurance options. Focus on your health and check into Care Credit. Explore all options and best wishes to you.
Age is not a significant factor for this procedure. You overall health is. You are not overweight and, unless you have some serious medical issues, the reduction can significantly reduce the problems associated with the size of your breasts. There are plenty of great plastic surgeons in Texas and your insurance will cover the consult. Then, based on the information from your surgeon you can make an informed decision for or against the procedure.
Thank you for sharing your question. Assuming you are an otherwise good candidate for surgery, there is no reason you can not have a breast reduction at 64 to try and improve upon the concerns you listed. Hope this helps.
Unless you are in awful health, and I operate on many 60 year olds with multiple significant medical problems, you are not too old at all. You probably need a 500-600 G reduction on each side. Pittsburgh would accept you.
It's not about the age, it's about your health. My breast reduction patients are some of the happiest patients I have. Relieving the pain frees the patient's and the patient's actually stand taller without that weight pulling the shoulders down.
At 64 you are not too old to have a breast reduction as long as you are in good health. I have performed a number of breast reductions on patients your age and older and they have done very well.
You should be fine having a breast reduction depending on your health.
