MICROSURGERY/LYMPHEDEMA FACULTY POSITION AT PREMIER CANCER CENTERPosted: 7/16/2024

Philadelphia, PA
The Fox Chase Cancer Center is currently recruiting a full-time academic Plastic Surgeon  to join the Division of Plastic Surgery and Department of Surgical Oncology. The Division currently employs three full-time fellowship trained microsurgeons, whose practice includes reconstruction of the breast, head and neck, trunk/pelvis, dermatologic malignancies and lymphedema surgery.

The ideal candidate is board-eligible or board certified who has completed a microsurgery fellowship and who has a specific interest in growing a complex reconstructive practice. The candidate would be joining a busy practice of three microsurgeons who are looking to expand the practice to additional regional hospitals.

The candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of the medical literature and have academic interests. The position involves a busy clinical reconstructive practice which is almost exclusively made up of cancer cases, with time protected for academic activities.

The practice is supported by Physician Assistants. The applicant must have a commitment to teaching microsurgery fellows, and Temple University plastic surgery residents.

The Fox Chase Cancer Center is one of only two NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the Philadelphia region and the nation’s oldest cancer center. It is a self-contained 100-bed institution with its own SSO-approved fellowships in surgical, medical, and urological oncology.

Fox Chase is rapidly expanding its clinical and academic activities. Additionally, Fox Chase has recently constructed a $67.6 million Cancer Research Pavilion that includes a Women’s Center containing 12,000 sq. feet devoted to clinical space.

Outstanding candidates should send curricula vitae to:
