Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship — Florida

We are presently recruiting for our highly regarded one-year Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery based in Melbourne, Florida. Fellows train directly with board-certified facial plastic surgeons Ross A. Clevens, MD, MPH, FACS and Phillip Barbee, MD, alongside board-certified plastic surgeon Christopher Hess, MD. Additional information about our practice may be found at www.drclevens.com.

We would be grateful if you would share this opportunity with qualified residents, fellows, and colleagues who may have an interest in advanced training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

 Fellowship Overview

For more than a decade, our program has offered a highly selective, immersive fellowship experience focused on excellence in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. The current opening begins Summer 2026, with an additional position anticipated for Summer 2027.

The Fellowship is directed by Drs. Clevens and Barbee of Clevens Face & Body Specialists, a nationally recognized private practice group in Coastal Florida. According to the Allergan/BSM Consulting Annual Benchmarking Report, the practice ranks within the top 1% of plastic surgery practices nationwide for both clinical volume and revenue — reflecting a uniquely robust and high-exposure training environment.

 Clinical Experience & Training

This fellowship provides comprehensive, hands-on training designed to develop technical mastery, clinical judgment, and aesthetic insight. The curriculum spans the full breadth of facial plastic surgery, including:

  • Advanced rhinoplasty
  • Cosmetic surgery of the aging face
  • Laser and energy-based procedures
  • Mohs reconstruction
  • Non-surgical facial aesthetics

Fellows participate as primary surgeon or first assistant in 500+ major facial cosmetic procedures, with optional exposure to cosmetic breast and body surgery based on individual interest.

The practice environment includes two fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeons and two experienced plastic surgeons specializing in cosmetic surgery and minimally invasive aesthetics — offering fellows exceptional breadth and case diversity.

A competitive salary and benefits package are provided. Applicants must have completed or be completing an accredited residency program.
