Plastic & Hand Surgical Associates, the largest independent plastic surgery practice in Northern New England, seeks a BE/BC Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to join our group of 8 surgeons in South Portland, Maine in late summer 2025.  This opportunity involves a broad-based practice encompassing all areas of plastic surgery including general plastic, reconstructive, cosmetic, hand and microsurgery, for a diverse patient population. The practice operates an in-house AAAHC accredited ASC.  Our surgeons also provide plastic and hand services and coverage for the two hospital systems in Portland, one being a level 1 teaching hospital.  We provide training to rotating residents from the Lahey Clinic plastic surgery residency program, general surgery residents from Maine Medical Center, and plastic surgery residents from Tufts University and Dartmouth-Hitchcock.

The ideal candidate has experience in all aspects of plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery.  A candidate with specific interest in microsurgery and breast free flap surgery is preferred.  Fellowship trained proficiency is encouraged but not necessary.  Excellent people skills and a strong work ethic are required.
