Plastic Surgeon/Breast Reconstructive Microsurgeon
The Plastic Surgery division at St. Louis University/SSM
Health System is recruiting a microsurgeon to join our faculty, consisting of 6
plastic surgeons, 2 advanced practice practitioners and 12 integrated plastic
surgery residents. This position will replace a departing faculty member
who works with existing surgeons in the of care of patients requiring breast
reconstruction and lower extremity limb salvage. Opportunities for treatment of
lymphedema are also available. Ideal candidates should have fellowship training
in microsurgery and be able to work in a collaborative environment with our residents
and oncologic breast surgeons. Plastic
surgery call at an adult and pediatric Level 1 trauma center to provide general plastic surgical care services is also
required.
Candidates will be expected to participate in
resident and medical student education and incorporate trainees into performing
procedures. This opportunity is for Assistant/Associate or full Professors
interested in growing an academic practice. There are also opportunities to grow
other specific clinical interests of the faculty member within the University
system.
