The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a plastic and reconstructive surgeon to join its full-time academic faculty. The ideal candidate will be primarily interested in a general reconstructive surgery, but also interested and capable to support breast cancer reconstruction and gender care services.
The faculty member will have the opportunity to teach residents, engage in research, and participate in clinical and research program development. Appointment on the clinical or tenure track and level to be determined by qualifications and experience. The position has opportunities for a purely clinical focus or as a surgeon scientist.
Areas of focus include breast cancer reconstruction, general plastic reconstructive surgery and gender care. Surgical scope includes, but is not limited to, breast cancer reconstruction, body contouring procedures, and masculinizing and feminizing procedures. The practice will be located at one of our suburban hospitals northeast of Indianapolis. Our plastic surgery group has a shared call, and physicians must be comfortable working with advanced practice providers and have an interest in educating medical students and residents. In addition, this position will have the opportunity to engage in the global health partnerships that exist within Division through the AMPATH Global Program.

Basic Qualifications: must be plastic surgery board-certified, or in the process of certification. Gender care or Microsurgical fellowships are desired, but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills and interest in working in a collaborative / team-oriented environment are essential.
