Position Description
The Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Department of Surgery
at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (Anschutz Medical Campus) is
recruiting a residency trained Plastic Surgeon for a 1.0 FTE position available
at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Candidates must have completed an ACGME
accredited Plastic Surgery residency program and be eligible for certification by
the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
The position will primarily focus on adult general plastic surgery
(including reconstructive, microsurgery, breast surgery, and lymphedema) and
will involve care of patients at Highlands Ranch Medical Center and University
of Colorado Hospital. The candidate must
also demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Minimum
Qualifications Assistant Professor:
· Medical Degree from an accredited school of medicine
· Eligibility for Board Certification
in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
· Completed a Microsurgery Fellowship
· Demonstrated experience/training in
microsurgical techniques
· Demonstrated proficiency in plastic
& reconstructive clinical, education and research efforts
· Ability to obtain license to practice
as a physician in the state of Colorado with prescriptive privileges
Minimum
Qualifications Associate Professor:
· Board Certification in Plastic &
Reconstructive Surgery
· Completed a Microsurgery Fellowship
· 5+ years experience in microsurgical
techniques
· 5+ years proficiency in plastic &
reconstructive clinical, education and research efforts
· Ability to obtain license to practice
as a physician in the state of Colorado with prescriptive privileges
Preferred
Qualifications:
· Clinical or basic science research experience
· Strong interest in lymphedema surgery
Required
Skills:
· Effective interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to work in a team environment
Salary and Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with skills and experience and is expected
to be in the range of:
Assistant Professor: $295,000-$357,000
Associate Professor: $343,000-$410,000
