Pediatric Plastic Surgery Assistant/ Associate Professor
Opportunity
The Division of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Cincinnati
Children’s seeks candidates for an assistant/associate professor, non-tenure
clinician affiliate track. The division treats patients across a wide range of
pediatric plastic surgery areas, including cleft, craniofacial surgery,
orthognathic surgery, pediatric hand, brachial plexus, pediatric microsurgery
(including facial reanimation), adolescent breast surgery, congenital nevi,
birthmarks and vascular anomalies, and ear reconstruction. Clinical
responsibilities will include building a general pediatric and craniofacial practice
that provides cleft care. The successful candidate must demonstrate clinical
excellence and academic contributions through training or practice experience.
Qualifications and experience will determine appointment on the clinical level.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have an M.D./ D.O. or equivalent medical degree.
- Must be board-certified/eligible and have completed an
ACGME-approved residency in plastic surgery.
- Fellowship training in craniofacial/pediatric plastic
surgery is required.
- Candidates must be committed to educating students,
residents, and fellows.
- Additional responsibilities will include developing
clinical/quality improvement research and program development supported by the
division.
- Excellent communication skills and interest in working in
a collaborative, team-oriented environment is essential.
