We are a premier Houston, Texas plastic surgery practice focused on plastic,
reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery providing personalized care in breast
reconstruction and beyond. The candidate MUST have advanced training and
proficiency in microsurgery with an expertise in DIEP flap breast reconstruction.
This role involves working closely with other private breast oncology surgeons to
offer a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Based at Texas Medical Center-The Women’s Hospital of Texas campus and the West Memorial area, we offer a
collegial and supportive work environment, with access to state-of-the-art
surgical facilities and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients seeking breast reconstruction,
including those undergoing mastectomy for breast cancer or prophylactic
procedures.
• Develop customized treatment plans that address the individual needs and goals
of each patient, ensuring the highest standards of care.
• Perform a wide range of breast reconstruction surgeries including flap techniques
(DIEP, TRAM, LATISSIMUS), implant-based reconstructions and revision
surgeries.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists and breast
surgeons, to ensure overall quality care from diagnosis through recovery.
• Engage in patient education initiatives, offering support and information to help
patients make informed decisions about their care.
• Participate in the opportunity to build a reconstructive hospital practice and
outpatient cosmetic aesthetics practice.
• Provide trauma program support for hand, facial, and reconstructive surgery,
depending on experience and interest.
Qualifications:
• Board-certified/board-eligible plastic surgeon with fellowship training in
microvascular/reconstructive surgery required.
• Breast reconstructive plastic surgery with DIEP experience,
• Have a current or be eligible for medical licensure in Texas.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing patient-centered care, with excellent
communication skills and the ability to empathize with patients.
