Job Overview
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of
Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals
and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health
and clinical care of patients. The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine has a storied history.
Founded in 1974 by Henry W. Neale, MD, the first Chief of Plastic Surgery, we
are celebrating our 50th Anniversary. W. John Kitzmiller, MD, succeeded Dr.
Neale in 2004. Sonu A. Jain, MD, became Division Chief in 2024. The growing
Division is seeking a full-time faculty physician to join a well-balanced and
multispecialty group of providers. The Division is committed to the clinical and
academic growth of its faculty.
As part of UC Health,
our Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery serves a broad population
and is the sole academic health system in the southwestern Ohio region,
including patients from northern Kentucky, eastern Indiana, southern Ohio, and
parts of West Virginia. University of Cincinnati Medical Center offers
Quaternary Care and is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in our region. The
Division is recruiting talented microsurgeons to join a growing faculty and a collaborative
working environment. Clinical areas to focus on include breast reconstruction,
lymphedema surgery, extremity reconstruction/limb salvage, and trunk
reconstruction. Other areas of Plastic Surgery can be included, depending on
faculty interest.
The successful
applicant will be provided with a competitive salary and benefits, and the
final faculty rank/title will be commensurate with the candidate's
qualifications.
Essential Functions
The successful candidate will participate in resident education,
conferences, ambulatory clinics, and in the operating room.
Minimum Requirements
· Full, unrestricted Ohio medical license.
· MD/DO.
· Completion of Plastic Surgery residency/training.
· Board Eligible or Board Certified in Plastic
Surgery.
Additional
Qualifications Considered
· Completion of an accredited fellowship in
Microvascular Surgery is ideal but not required.
· Commitment to the Division, Department and
University mission of excellence in clinical care, education, and research.
