DIVISION OF PLASTIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY
AST/ASO/FULL PROFESSOR
The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida,
College of Medicine is recruiting a multi-mission or tenure-track surgeon to
join the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. A specific
interest in hand and microsurgery is necessary and fellowship training is
preferred. Opportunities are present for limb salvage, lymphedema, peripheral
nerve and/or complex general reconstruction and community-based hand surgery in
a collaborative multidisciplinary setting. The academic rank will be based upon
the career stage and development of the candidate. The hand service
collaborates well with Orthopedics such that a joint appointment is
possible. Dedication to patient care and resident/medical student
education is vital, while scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.

Salary Range: Salary is negotiable based on education and
experience.
Minimum Qualifications: This
position requires a medical degree; board certification or eligibility in
plastic surgery. It also requires fellowship subspecialty training unless
training and/or practice has provided a robust experience. The ideal candidate
will have a strong commitment to patient care and education and an ability to
work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills are also expected.
Preferred Qualifications: We
prefer a candidate who if fellowship, trained and has a strong interest in
educations, as well as scholarly work.
