Madera, CA

The Division of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Valley Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Plastic Surgeon with an interest in the breadth of Pediatric Plastic Surgery to join their comprehensive team of three Plastic Surgeons and four Nurse Practitioners.  For the interested candidate, this practice will allow them the opportunity to immediately build their craniofacial practice, involving a high volume of cleft, microtia and craniosynostosis cases, while providing them with the opportunity to care for patients involving the entire spectrum of pediatric plastic surgery including craniofacial anomalies, craniofacial injures, hand injuries distal to the carpus, vascular anomalies, ear anomalies, nasal deformities and adolescent breast conditions in a setting unopposed by cross-specialty interests.  Additionally, this opportunity provides the candidate with excellent clinical volume for research opportunities as interested.

Valley Children’s craniofacial team has earned approval from the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA).  This is a hidden gem of a job, providing care to an underserved population with highly appreciative families – over 75% of our patients are enrolled in Medi-Cal, and many are non-English speakers – all within cutting-edge facilities high regarded by the local community.

Valley Children’s Hospital is an independent, stand-alone children’s hospital dedicated to serving the pediatric population of approximately 1.3 million across California’s Central Valley. As the only children’s hospital in the region, it offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse and rewarding patient population that relies on its services. The hospital is designated as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, the only one of its kind in Central California, extending its reach from Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay Area and from the Central Coast to the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

The region is located within one to four hours of stunning destinations, including the breathtaking Monterey Bay and Pacific Coast, the renowned Napa and Sonoma wine regions, and the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains. Nearby attractions also include beautiful Lake Tahoe, as well as vibrant cities such as San Jose, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
