Boston
Medical Center and Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of
Medicine are jointly recruiting a board-certified/board-eligible plastic
surgeon to join the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The ideal
candidate must have a strong background in microsurgery and interest in microsurgical
breast reconstruction, lower extremity reconstruction, and reconstruction of
complex defects. However, this position encompasses the full spectrum of
plastic surgery, including breast surgery and post-bariatric body contouring.
In
addition to providing expert patient care using the latest treatments and
technologies, the division places a high priority on the training and
development of general surgery residents, the education of medical students,
and on improving care through research. The successful candidate will have
strong clinical credentials, a collaborative approach to patient care, and a
commitment to teaching. They will be an additional faculty member to the
current four surgeons and five advanced practice clinicians.

Boston
University conducts a background check on all final candidates for certain
faculty and staff positions. The background check includes contacting the final
candidate’s current and previous employer(s) to ask whether, in the last seven
years, there has been a substantiated finding of misconduct violating that
employer’s applicable sexual misconduct policies. To implement this process,
the university requires a final candidate to complete and sign the form
entitled “Authorization to Release Information” after execution of an offer
letter.
