About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant-Certified
(PA-C) with surgical experience in microsurgical reconstruction to join our
team. This role plays a critical part in our breast reconstruction service
line, working closely with our surgeons to assist in complex procedures and
ensure high-quality patient care.
The PA-C will assist in surgical procedures, coordinate
patient care, and round on inpatients at Providence Sacred Heart, Deaconess,
and PSNW ASC. This position requires flexibility and collaboration with the
PA-C team to provide coverage.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in surgical procedures, primarily
microsurgical breast reconstruction
·
Independently perform parts of surgical
procedures, including breast pocket preparation, internal mammary recipient
vessel preparation, abdominal closure, and mesh reinforcement
·
Act as primary surgical assistant during
microsurgical anastomosis
·
Collaborate with surgeons to facilitate the
patient decision-making process
·
Round on inpatients, write notes and manage
post-operative care
·
Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests
·
Perform minor procedures (suturing, lesion
excision, cosmetic facial injections, etc.)
·
Ensure timely and accurate charge documentation
What We’re Looking For:
·
PA-C with surgical experience in microsurgical
reconstruction
·
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Washington
and Idaho
·
BLS and ACLS certification (required)
·
NCCPA certification
·
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to
handle confidential information with discretion
·
Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize
in a fast-paced surgical environment
·
Passion for expanding surgical skills and
expertise
