Providence Cancer Institute of Oregon is seeking a full-time Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to join its established and expanding surgical oncology program in Portland. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced microsurgeon, focusing on complex oncologic reconstruction. Candidates should be fellowship trained and/or have significant experience in breast, oncoplastic, and general reconstructive microsurgery. The practice is supported by advanced practice providers and nursing staff, with referrals from a robust network of over 100 clinics and 8 hospitals across Oregon. The position provides immediate access to a high surgical volume and dedicated OR time.

About the Position:

  • Full-time, 1.0 FTE
  • Board-certified or Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery required
  • Breast reconstruction, oncoplastic reconstruction, and general reconstructive microsurgery required (co-surgeon model for microsurgery)
  • Shared practice call—no facial or hand trauma
  • Opportunity to participate in clinical research, teaching, and program development

  • Providence Cancer Institute offers an attractive compensation package, including a guaranteed base salary for the first 2-years of employment, an annual value-based incentive, and wRVU incentive plan
  • $30,000 starting bonus and up to $15,000 for relocation assistance
  • $6,000 annually in Continuing Medical Education (CME) funds and 80-hours of CME time as well as reimbursement for licensure and certification(s)
  • In addition, Providence provides a Comprehensive Employed Provider Benefits Package, including Paid Time Off, Health, Life, Dental, Vision, Disability and Malpractice Insurance
  • As a non-profit organization, Providence is an eligible employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program
