The Plastic Surgery team at Harborview Medical Center (the only Level 1 trauma center in a five-state region) is seeking a highly motivated medical student for a full-time, paid research fellowship focused on complex upper and lower extremity trauma and reconstruction.
This is an immersive, high-impact opportunity for a medical student interested in a career in plastic surgery. The selected fellow will gain exposure to the clinical, academic, and translational aspects of traumatic extremity reconstruction in a high-volume, multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting multiple clinical research projects
- Preparing and submitting IRB protocols and grant applications
- Performing data collection, analysis, and management
- Writing abstracts and manuscripts for presentation and publication
- Collaborating with a diverse team of faculty, residents, and staff
- Opportunities for clinical observation in the operating room and outpatient clinics
Position Details:
Start Date: Late Summer / Early Fall 2025
Duration: 9-12 months (full-time)
Location: Seattle, Washington (on-site relocation required)
Compensation: Stipend provided
