The
Department of Surgery at Duke University Medical Center is seeking candidates
for the position of Chief of the Division of Plastic, Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery. Candidates must hold the academic rank of Professor or Associate
Professor and be board certified in Plastic Surgery. The successful applicant will be a nationally
recognized leader with an outstanding record of clinical excellence, research
achievement, and educational accomplishment, and must demonstrate prior success
in an administrative leadership role within an academic health system.

beyond the Department of Surgery.

Oversee
the continued growth and refinement of educational programs for medical
students, residents, and fellows, ensuring that Duke remains at the forefront
of training the next generation of leaders in plastic, oral, and maxillofacial
surgery.
The
Division of Plastic, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Duke is comprised of a
highly skilled faculty with expertise spanning reconstructive surgery,
craniofacial surgery, microsurgery, aesthetic surgery, hand surgery, and oral
and maxillofacial surgery. Comprised of twenty faculty members, ten APPs, an
Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program and Craniomaxillofacial Trauma
fellowship, the Division is deeply committed to excellence in patient care,
education, and research, and serves a diverse patient population across Duke
University Hospital, Duke Children’s Hospital, and the broader Duke Health
System.
