Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to do the following:

  1. Understand the key safety considerations, techniques, and post-treatment care in abdominoplasty, large-volume liposuction, and hyaluronic acid filler treatments.

  2. Understand the risks and considerations for abdominoplasty in patients with significant weight loss from gastric sleeve surgery.

  3. Understand how to manage expectations, satisfaction, and outcomes for brachioplasty after significant weight loss, including consent, timing, and care.

  4. Understand the key factors and techniques in arm contouring after significant weight loss to achieve optimal contour and bra fit.

  5. Understand the role of postoperative chemoprophylaxis in preventing hematoma after abdominoplasty, considering timing, patient factors, and surgical techniques.

Accreditation
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons designates this enduring material for a maximum of 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ listed below. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Recognition Statement

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits offered by this activity are enhanced by ASPS Learner Credit Reporting for learners who have opted in to this reporting. Successful completion of this CME activity enables active American Board of Surgery (ABS) members the opportunity to earn credit toward the CME requirement of the ABS's Continuous Certification program when claimed within 30 days of completion of the activity.
