Product Description

In this video-based CME activity, Julius W. Few, MD performs a midface rejuvenation which includes a lower blepharoplasty to dissect the redundant skin, a tear trough correction to eliminate the tired and aged appearance on the face, and lateral canthoplasties are performed because there is more than 6-8 millimeters lower lid distraction.

Learning Objectives
After viewing this course, the participant should be able to:
  1. Plan goals for the procedure from the patient's view point, as well as documenting during a physical exam the potential risks involved from performing blepharoplasty by considering the patient's medical history.
  2. Prepare a patient immediately prior to surgery, including identifying and measuring the shape, size and asymmetry.
  3. Minimize trauma to the orbital septum of the lower lid.
  4. Know when it is appropriate to correct tear trough.
  5. Perform proper suture techniques, in addition to setting the three points of fixation - two in the lateral malar region and one via the transconjunctival approach.
